The Arktis model is the result of intensive collaboration between internationally renowned extreme diver Mario Weidner and Sinn. The objective of the comprehensive research and development was to produce a mechanical watch that was capable of surviving deep dives and withstanding large temperature variances. The type of conditions you might find when diving in cold waters and then coming directly into a heated room or sauna. And this is exactly how the watch was tested in the arctic, on expedition.
The Arktis not only performs above standard, it also looks fantastic in cool tones of arctic blue, offset by polished stainless steel and a stunning blue leather, fully adjustable diver’s band.

In conjunction with its instrument chronographs and watches, Sinn is renowned for its sports and diving watches. The task was to develop a mechanical divers' chronograph that was water and pressure resistant to over 30bar (300m) plus capable of withstanding extremely cold temperatures and vast temperature ranges such as those experienced on a polar expedition. The Arktis model not only survived all dives performed within the arctic circle, it also survived the relaxation saunas that followed back on the main vessel. The Arktis watch is able to withstand such extreme temperature changes thanks to Sinn's special oil 66-228 which provides proven protection from -45 to +80 degrees C. To prove this, Sinn tests each 203 Arktis watch individually for its tolerance within this temperature range. The masterful performance and technical properties of this watch are showcased in a striking, galvanised ice blue dial offset by its matching blue, alligator print leather band. Fully adjustable of course to fit over a wet or dry suit if necessary. The 203 Arktis ice blue is truly one of a kind.
